Colour Variations
You may notice a slight difference between the colour you see on your screen and the actual saree you receive. This is completely normal — and here is why.
Every screen shows colour differently
Mobile phones, tablets, and laptops all have different screens. Some screens are brighter, some are more warm, some show more blue. The same saree image can look slightly different on an iPhone, a Samsung, or a laptop — even when the photo is the same.
Indoor vs outdoor photography
Most of our sarees are shot in natural daylight or studio lighting. Outdoor shoots can make colours look brighter and more vivid. Indoor studio lights can sometimes make colours appear slightly warmer or cooler. We try our best to show the most accurate colour in every photo.
Lighting when you receive the saree
When you open your saree at home, the lighting in your room also affects how the colour looks. A saree that looks deep red under warm yellow lights may look more bright-red in natural white light. Always view your saree near a window for the most accurate colour.
Silk and zari reflect light differently
Pure Banarasi Sarees are woven with real zari threads. Depending on the angle and light, the same saree can look lighter or darker, more golden or more silvery. This is the natural beauty of the fabric — not a defect.
Our Promise to You
We photograph every saree carefully and do not edit colours beyond basic brightness correction. What you see is as close to real as we can make it. A slight variation of 5–10% in shade is natural and not considered a quality issue.
