Returns & Exchange

We are committed to your satisfaction. As our fabrics are genuine handwoven silk, returns are accepted only in specific circumstances.

Orders cannot be cancelled once placed. In exceptional cases, email care@katansi.com — decision is at the discretion of the company.

Returns are accepted only for manufacturing defects.

Send your return request to care@katansi.com within 48 hours of receiving your shipment. Requests after 48 hours will not be eligible.

If your parcel appears tampered with, damaged, or unsealed — do not accept it and do not open it. Contact us immediately at care@katansi.com or call +91 7096321094.

If your order arrives damaged, email us a photo of the damaged packaging along with your return request.

We will examine your request and send a return/exchange authorisation within 10 working days.

Once authorised, the product must be couriered back in original packaging to our Varanasi address within 5 days.

The product must be in its original unused condition with original bill and tags intact.

All returns are processed within 7 working days of receiving the product.

Refunds are issued as store credits only. Return shipping charges must be borne by the customer.

Products with fall, pico, or tassels already added

Products that have been opened, unfolded, or tried on

Natural irregularities in handwoven fabric (weave variations, zari placement) — these are not defects

Exchanges
Important: Katansi does not bear any shipping costs for returns or exchanges — for Indian or international customers. All courier charges are the customer's responsibility.

Exchange is only possible if no tassels or fall & pico have been added to your order.

All apparel is made to order and cannot be exchanged. Fabrics cut from full yardage cannot be exchanged.

Any product that has been opened, unfolded, or tried on will not be eligible for exchange.

🇮🇳 Indian Customers

You must self-courier the product to our Surat address at your own cost.

Use any reliable courier service — we recommend Speed Post, Blue Dart, or DTDC.

Katansi will not bear any return or forward shipping charges under any circumstances.

🌍 International Customers

You must self-courier the product to our Surat address at your own cost.

You are responsible for all customs duties and import charges — both for the returned shipment and the exchange item we send back.

Incoming shipments into India from overseas can attract very high custom duty charges — these must be paid by the customer.

Katansi will not bear any shipping, courier, or customs charges for international exchanges under any circumstances.
